Ruth Killick, Publicity Director, is an award-winning publicist. She has over 20 years’ experience publicising books, organisations and events. Before founding Ruth Killick Publicity she worked for Oxford University Press and Dillons the Bookstore as PR manager; she was Head of Publicity at The Penguin Press for five years then spent 11 years as Publicity Director at independent publisher Profile Books where she worked with authors including Lynne Truss, Mary Beard, Robert Greene and John Kay and promoted the bestselling app, Frankenstein. When not reading and enthusing about books she likes sampling real ales in Wye Valley pubs and walking it off in the Welsh hills.
Helen McManners, Publicity Director, has worked in marketing and publicity for the book trade for over 25 years. With wide experience covering both trade and educational publishing, publishers she has worked for include Helicon, Dorling Kindersley, and Oxford University Press (with tours of duty both in the UK and New York). And while she absolutely loves a good novel, she also especially likes biography, because it's often even stranger than fiction. She loves to socialise, and admits to a particular weakness for tribute band evenings.
Diana Morgan worked in PR for many years for an American company, travelling around Europe organising trade fairs. After a break to raise her family, she worked at a solicitors where she assisted in the set-up of a matrimonial and child care department. She has been working with Ruth for almost 3 years now. Diana is a great “foodie” and loves discovering new recipes. She particularly enjoys reading crime novels.
Hallam Girardet is a Creative Writing graduate who after a brief spell as a copy writer now works as our publicity assistant. He likes to read anything and everything. When he isn’t reading or writing he will be outside running or cycling on the Welsh hills.
